By Brian Sanderson,

As a cricket watcher you are always looking at the weather during the cricket season.Today I was going to see New Rover against local rivals St. Chads. New Rover play in the Airedale and Wharfedale whilst St. Chads playing the Wetherby League.

Today weather was sunny but a cold wind blowing as I arrived Tony Hutton was watching St. Chads batting. We decided to watch the match at the side of  pavilion in the sun. We were sitting near the tins for the scoreboard so I helped to put the tins on the nails. The photograph above  is a unusual view of a near  by house which is usual covered by the trees.Looked very nice in the sun.

Below is a photograph at half time when another fielder came on the ground.St. Chads scored 178 in 40 overs .After tea the dark clounds came and New Rover struggled to score. After 17 overs they had score 34 for 2 wickets. At this stage I left to get warm.
